Gwen was bitten by a radioactive spider and gained spider-like powers. Influenced by her father's moral code, Gwen uses her powers to help those in need like her friend, Peter Parker.

Personality… kind, responsible, and quick with a joke, it's hard to imagine anyone not liking Gwen Stacey. While she likes to have fun and keep things light, she has inherited her father's unshakable sense of duty – when lives are on the line, Gwen is willing to risk everything to do the right thing.

Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, Gwen Stacy first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #31 (December 1965).

Into the Spider-Verse

Her "spider-sense" led her to Brooklyn Visions Academy, where she would meet Miles, who is unaware of her identity as Spider-Woman. She introduces herself under the alias "Wanda" (mistaken by Miles as "Gwanda").
